Emory’s Advancement and Alumni Engagement office needed to update their planned giving materials. I worked with the team in AAE as well as clients throughout the university to redesign their brochures with the updated university branding. I also found a way to make the printed brochures friendly for sending via email and printing at home by potential donors.
The previous brochures had been sized to fit in a No. 10 envelope, but they were bound on the short side, resulting in thin, wide spreads that were difficult to read on a screen. I reoriented the page so the brochure would be the same size and mailable under the same conditions, but now each spread was much more screen-friendly. As an added bonus, if the brochure is sent directly to a donor via email, the donor can print it out at home without having to reorient the page for their home printer. Each digital brochure also received its own cover design so that it did not need to appear at half the size of the other pages in the PDF.
This is an ongoing series.
