The Emory School of Nursing said goodbye to their longtime dean at the end of 2025. Her departure is a milestone in the school’s history and the communications team was determined to give her a beautiful and heartfelt send-off. Most of this issue was one giant feature, with a couple of secondary stories, that included dean’s quotes, short stories about her inspirational tenure, and data design. It was a complex project to put all the pieces together in a 36-page issue, based on a handful of text documents and a enormous folder of photos of the dean over 15 years. This was a fantastic challenge of organization and design consistency, and I’m grateful for clients who trust me with this type of in-depth detail work.
