For 2024, Emory’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences wanted to do something a little different than an annual report. They wanted to highlight their talented, diverse, award-winning faculty members, by listing all the awards they had won within the last year. I suggested a planned layout that included placeholder copy with word counts so that the text could be written to fit by the editor. This allowed for a fast turnaround, with the design and the editorial work taking place almost simultaneously.
